Boarding Terms & Conditions

The health and safety of our feline guests are our top priorities. As such, we have established the following requirements for all boarded guests. Please read these carefully, as sending your cat to us indicates your agreement to all terms and conditions.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

To ensure the health and safety of all our feline guests, we have the following vaccination requirements:

  1. Complete Vaccination:
    • All cats must have a complete vaccination series, with the last dose administered within 12 months before check-in. An updated vaccine card must be presented at check-in as proof of vaccination each time your cat boards with us.
  2. Post-Vaccination Waiting Period:
    • Cats can only be accepted for boarding at least seven days after their last vaccination. This period allows time to monitor for any side effects, such as fever, and ensures the vaccine has time (3 to 14 days) to boost your cat's immunity, reducing vulnerability to infections.
  3. Kittens:
    • Kittens under four months old must have at least two vaccinations before boarding. The second vaccination must be administered at least seven days before the boarding date. If a kitten cannot provide proof of two vaccinations, we recommend keeping them in their room for the duration of their stay to protect their health, as they are more susceptible to illness.

Please note that boarding facilities place cats from different households in close proximity. While full vaccination significantly reduces the risk of illness, it does not guarantee complete immunity, especially if the vaccination cycle is incomplete or not recently boosted.

 

 

FLEAS & TICKS POLICY

Ho'tails is a pest-free hotel, and it is compulsory for all cats boarding with us to have anti-flea treatment applied within 30 days before their stay.

  1. Pre-Boarding Treatment:
    • You can apply the anti-flea Spot On treatment at home or any veterinary clinic at least three days before check-in (proof required). This preventive measure helps prevent flea and tick infestations.
  2. Check-In Procedures:
    • If fleas are detected on your cat during check-in, we reserve the right to refuse your cat's check-in.

  3. Liability:
    • If you claim to have applied anti-flea Spot On or refuse to apply it before boarding (e.g., stating your cat is fully indoor or does not have fleas) and we find fleas on your cat during their stay, or if your cat has fleas upon returning home, Ho'tails and its staff will not be liable.
  4. Extended Stays:
    • For cats staying longer than 30 days, we will reapply the anti-flea Spot On treatment monthly at your expense as a preventive measure.

These steps ensure a clean and safe environment for all our feline guests.

 

 

ILLNESS POLICY

We prioritize the health and welfare of all cats at our hotel. Therefore, we do not accept cats with infectious diseases such as FIV, FeLV, FIP, and other contagious illnesses. We highly appreciate the honesty of cat owners in disclosing any health issues to ensure the well-being of all our guests.

  1. Pre-Boarding Health Check:
    • We reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of illness before boarding. Symptoms include lethargy, discharging or inflamed eyes, coughing, repeated sneezing, or a watery nose. Additionally, if a cat appears untidy or dirty, indicating potential health problems, admission will be denied.
  2. Emergency Care:
    • If your cat falls ill during its stay, you grant Ho'tails and its authorized staff consent to seek emergency medical care. We will take your cat to the nearest veterinarian as soon as possible. Transportation fees and veterinary expenses will be added to the cat owner's total bill. We require all owners to provide an emergency contact number for a reliable adult who can be reached if your cat becomes ill and you are unavailable. This person should be capable of making decisions regarding your cat's care if necessary.
  3. Liability:
    • Ho'tails cannot be held liable if your cat falls ill during its stay due to a prior underlying health condition, whether known or unknown.
  4. Veterinarian Advice:
    • We recommend consulting your veterinarian and performing a medical check-up before boarding your cat. This is particularly important if your cat has underlying health issues requiring daily medication or is prone to stress, as stress can trigger or exacerbate health problems.

These measures are in place to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all cats in our care.

 

 

MEDICATION POLICY

If your cat requires daily medication, please contact us in advance for further instructions. Please note that we do not administer injections.

  1. Medication Requirements:
    • All medication must be in its original packaging and clearly labeled with the type of medication and dosage. Over-the-counter medications are only accepted with a veterinarian's dosage recommendation.
  2. Instructions:
    • Please write the medication instructions clearly on a piece of paper and provide it to the staff during check-in.
  3. Additional Considerations:
    • This service is available only for non-aggressive cats. Additional charges may apply. We reserve the right to refuse admission if medication requirements are only communicated during check-in.

Ensuring your cat's health and well-being is our top priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in providing necessary medication information.

ESSENTIALS TO PREPARE

1. Food

  • We provide Royal Canin Fit32 for all cats boarding with us.
  • If your cat has special dietary needs, food allergies, or a sensitive stomach, please bring enough of their preferred food for the duration of their stay. We cannot be held responsible if the provided food runs out.
  • For wet food, please bring enough labeled and packaged accordingly. We can serve canned or pouch wet food during your cat's stay.
  • Dry food should be accurately labeled and stored in an airtight container. Please provide written feeding instructions during check-in.
  • We regret that we are unable to accommodate raw or home-cooked diets due to food safety concerns.

 

2. Cat Litter

  • We provide pinewood litter for all litter boxes. If your cat prefers or exclusively uses a different litter type, please bring enough for their stay, or we will mix it with ours.
  • Ensure the cat litter is accurately labeled and packaged.

3. Toys, Bedding, Treats, and Belongings

  • To help your cat feel more comfortable, especially during the initial days of boarding, you can bring clean bedding and your cat's favorite toys.
  • Feel free to provide your cat's preferred treats.
  • We will clean the bedding during scheduled cleaning times but may remove it if it becomes wet, excessively dirty, or malodorous.
  • We are not liable for any loss or spoilage of small toys during your cat's stay.
  • If you choose to bring your cat's bowl, please label it. Avoid bringing fragile or cherished items, as we cannot guarantee their condition at the end of your cat's stay.
  • We recommend transporting your cat in a secure carrier until they are placed in their designated room. Please leave your cat carrier with us, and we will label it accordingly.

Ensuring your cat's comfort and well-being during their stay is our priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in providing necessary items.

 

 

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS

While we take pride in providing a clean and comfortable environment at Ho'tails, it's important to recognize that no pet hotel can guarantee absolute safety against unseen bacteria, viruses, or parasites. Cats may or may not be allowed to leave their rooms based on preference or health conditions. If roaming, they share space with other cats, posing inherent risks. Changes in routine can cause stress, weakening the immune system and increasing susceptibility to illness. While we strive to minimize stress, we cannot be held responsible for any conditions that arise during or after your cat's stay. By engaging our services, you assume all risks, releasing Ho'tails and its staff from liability.

 

 

GENERAL ADMISSION POLICY

To ensure efficient service, cat owners must complete specific forms before boarding their cats at Ho'tails. Admission may be refused if cat owners:

  1. Decline to agree to written or verbal terms and conditions provided by our staff.
  2. Fail to sign any of our grooming and/or boarding forms.
  3. Do not sign the forms for any reason whatsoever.

By checking in your cat at our hotel, you agree to all terms and conditions outlined above.
